MANCHESTER CH SHOW 2011 JUDGE'S CRITIQUE

I was expecting far more exhibits to possess better general quality, particularly in both type & form. Far too many dogs present did not have the basic essentials of being sturdy, compact & solid with good bone. Yes, generally speaking, movement was sound but too many exhibits were carrying additional length affecting form & balance.

MPD (6) 1 Thorlby-Coy’s Jalatemmes Lone Ranger at Bushbay, general balanced pleased, typical head details & size. Good body shape & front & rear assemblies. Deserved class position; 2 Jopling’s Miamou Moon Bear, good topline & general form. Pleasing head qualities, bone & movement; 3 Allsop’s Jalatemme’s Quizz Me Quentin.PD (1) 1 Allsop’s Jalatemme’s Mighty Bruce, sizeable exhibit. Shorter in body would improve. Head quality acceptable. Good topline & movement sound; 2 Evans’ Denesbeau Geste Prince, lovely ears, needs additional body substance. Angulation acceptable. JD(11) 1 Wright’s Crindle’s Wright-Move, quality exhibit. Lovely type of head with super head qualities. A pleasure to see. Excellent body shape, good bone, body & movement confirmed construction. Pleasing rearquarters. RCC; 2 Ainsworth’s Kalhols The Real Deal, lovely fawn, excellent head & ears. Well bodied with pleasing balance & form. Good angulation & typical movement; 3 Stansfield’s Mayobie The Musicia. PGD (14) 1 Green’s Mestica All That Glitters for Kanchee, front angulation impressed. Lovely balance & form. Good body shape. Head properties typical. Movement sound & balanced; 2 Longdon’s Alsuma Shady Squire, heavier in type. Balanced & well bodied. Quarters pleased. Movement sound & typical; 3 Mavro-Michaelis’ Shoebridge Buzet. LD (15) 1 Coffey’s Tucker Bever Tail at Raglenary, excellent head properties with good ears & placement. Quality exhibit. Pleasing balance & form with excellent quarters. Movement confirmed construction; 2 Friend’s Daulokke’s Renoir Le Blance of Kingfriend, lovely balance. Excellent rear angulation. Good head neck & lovely topline. Typical movement; 3 Burton’s Morvern Frank avec Labanj. OD (10) 1 Ellis’ Eastonite Lionel, quality exhibit. Excellent size, type & balance. Pleasing head & ears. Body shape & quarters painted the right picture on the move. Lovely example of the breed. CC; 2 Longdon’s Ch Alsuma Shady Knight, pleasing exhibit, pushed 1 above hard for first place. Good head & body shape. Quarters enhanced typical movement; 3 Drummond’s Glenlee Golden Eagle. VD (0). GCD(2) 1 Dealaselle’s Kenocto Bundle Of Fun, head properties & quarters pleased. Rather long but nice type. Excellent movement; 2 Welsh’s Feniton Fineas Fogg over Desrebtes, general balance, body & topline pleased. Typical head properties. Sound movement.

MPB (15) 1 Howarth’s Gizyjo Gizys Angel, lovely fawn. Quality head shape & head details. Excellent balance & form. Body shape, topline & quarters pleased. Movement confirmed construction. BP; 2 Smith’s Glyncroft Pure Diamond at Bellicose, sizable exhibit but balanced. Excellent head & front & rear assemblies. Body shape, topline & movement typical; 3 King A Kaos El Fryosa. PB (3) 1 Davis’ Little Miss Dynamite at Rowendale, lovely dark brindle. Head & neck impressed. Body shape & general balance & form pleased. Typical movement; 2 Cund’s Chelmbull Dare To Dream, good fawn with excellent head neck & shoulder. Shorter body length would improve but good topline & movement; 3 King’s Brandoux Moschinoux. JB (21) 1 Mooring’s Byrock Silver Thistle, lovely balance with excellent head body & topline. Front quarters pleased. Movement sound; 2 King’s Jlo El Fryosa, dark brindle. Lovely head type with ears completing the picture. Pleasing balance & topline; 3 Rawsthorne’s Risethor Poppiholla. PGB (10) 1 Souter’s Tommyville Tartan Ribbon at Greusaiche, likeable fawn with good head & quarters. Lovely body & topline. Movement confirmed construction; 2 Dealaselle’s Rossbails Sugar Butty, pleasing brindle with excellent head properties. Good angulation to quarters, movement typical; 3 Mavro-Michaelis’ Shoebridge Madiran. LB (11) 1 Friend’s May Wine De Elka Gyvybes Zyme, quality exhibit, lovely head, body & topline. Excellent quarters & typical movement. Pleasing balance & form. RCC; 2 Conway’s Anashell Allovapuzzal, lovely topline. Excellent rear angulation. Good feet. Pleasing head & neck. Movement confirmed construction; 3 Souter’s Tommyville Topping at Greusaiche. OB (9) 1 Cund’s Glenlee Two Moons at Chelmbull, took my eye immediately. Lovely balance & type for the breed. Excellent head, neck & topline with rearquarters & angulation to match. Well handled. Everything excelled with movement. CC & BOB; 2 Chapman & Conway’w Ch Norcairn Dark Angel, pleasing exhibit with excellent front & rearquarters. Excellent head properties & lovely ears. Well bodied with typical movement; 3 Beale’s Kagabea Dream Crystal. VB (3) 1 Birks’ Ch Birique Prinzessen, this lovely fawn still exhibited quality. A pleasure to judge. Excellent type & balance with head & ear placement to match. Pleasing movement for this excellent example of the breed; 2 Stead’s Bulvista Exclusive, lovely body shape & topline. Sound quarters. Good head properties; 3 Souter’s Madainn Highland Miss Chief. GCB (3) 1 Rossbails Sugar Butty; 2 Wood’s Angel Carys Is Delightbull, pleasing head. Lovely ears. Well bodied with good angulation to quarters. Movement typical.
